Weekapaug Green

The Weekapaug Fire District and Weekapaug Green are sponsoring a Farmers' Market every Friday morning from 8:30 - 11:30 a.m. in
the Fire District parking lot, next to
the Innlet, beginning July 2 and continuing through September 3, 2010.

The Farmers' Market will feature locally grown and organic food from such local vendors as Hidden Brook Gardens, Narragansett Creamery, Mayger Farm, Studio Farm Products, Red Horse Farm, Dippolino's Bakery, and Pleasant Acres Nursery. Items will include fresh vegetables, baked goods (including fresh bread), delicious locally made organic cheeses, fresh eggs, honey, herbs, and flowers (annuals).

  Children will gather at the Chapel and parade to the WFD parking lot where there will be a bike/stroller swap.
• August 12 -- 6 p.m. Organic Lawn Party.
  Speaker Christy Pennoyer will share how to make our lawns more
  environmentally friendly and positively impact our ponds.
• August 14 -- WG Team’s Pedal Power Day.
  Walk and ride your bike. Leave your car at home.
  AND 9-9:30 p.m. WG Team’s Lights Out Night. Celebrate the night sky. Turn out all your lights for a half an hour.
